ABTC “APEC Business Travel Card” - is a travel document issued to business travellers who are citizens of APEC participating economies. Valid for five years, the card eliminates the need for its holder to possess a visa when visiting other APEC participating economies as long as pre-clearance has been obtained during the application process.
Affidavit of Support (or AOS) - A document pledging that the signer agrees to financially support the corresponding visa applicant.
Annotation - this is an additional note stated related to your visa. It stipulates some sort of limitation on the use of visas.
Alien Card - is also known as a permanent resident or a lawful permanent resident, which means they are considered an immigrant who has been legally and lawfully recorded as a resident of the country.
Airport transit visa - allows a traveler to pass through the international zone of an airport, without entering the country's territory.
Barcode sticker - this is the sticker we attached to the applicant’s original valid passport and document checklist so that we can easily retrieve your application. The barcode also contains the name of Rakso Travel on it.
Biometrics - Biologically unique sets of data used to authenticate someone’s identity, such as fingerprints and iris scans.
Case code - this is the reference number of your visa application with Rakso Travel.
Document Checklist – this is the list of the visa requirements that Rakso Travel has received from the applicant or contact person.
DS-160 Form - this is the online nonimmigrant visa application form for temporary travel to the United States of America. It is submitted electronically to the Department State website.
E-passport “Electronic Passport” - is a traditional passport that has an embedded electronic microprocessor chip that contains biometric information that can be used to authenticate the identity of the passport holder.
E-visa “Electronic visa” - a short term for electronic visa. It is simply a visa that is issued by the immigration department electronically.
Imm 5257 - is used by individuals who want to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to visit Canada for a temporary purpose such as tourism, visiting family or friends, or business trips.
Multiple Entry - a specific type of visa that allows the visa holder to enter a country multiple times within the given time frame or validity.
NIV “Non-Immigrant” visa - allows the holder to enter the other country temporarily and for a specific purpose. Most non-immigrant visa holders are temporary workers, students, tourists, and diplomats.
Schengen Visa - it is a short stay visa that allows a person to travel to any countries that are Schengen members such as Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
A short stay visa - is granted to a traveler who intends to go from one non-Schengen country to another non-Schengen country by crossing through the territory of France or any other Schengen member country. The visa may be valid for 1 or several crossings of a maximum duration of up to 5 days each.
Single-entry visa - a specific type of visa that allows the visa holder to enter a country only one time within the given time frame or validity.
Stamp Visa - a visa is endorsed or stamped in the passport.
Transit Visa - a visa that is valid for a very short period. Depending on your nationality and destination country, you may need to have a transit visa to make a connection in a foreign airport or cross through a foreign country.
Tourist Visa - Allows the bearer to enter a foreign country for touristic and leisure purposes only and stay for a predetermined amount of time.
Visa application waiver liability form - this is an agreement between Rakso Travel and the applicant regarding certain conditions of the visa application.
Visa fee - application fee charged by the embassy and or accredited organization.
Visa processing fee - service fee charged by Rakso Travel for processing the visa application
VWP “Visa Waiver Program” - The Visa Waiver Program is a program of the US government that allows citizens of specific countries to travel to the United States for tourism, business, or while in transit for up to 90 days without having to obtain a visa. Not all countries participate in the VWP, and not all travelers from VWP countries are eligible to use the program. VWP travelers are required to apply for authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), are screened at their port of entry into the United States.

You can submit your visa application directly to our office or you may send your complete documents through a courier. However, please remember the following guidelines when you submit your documents in our office through courier:
Please inform our Documentation Officer of the expected date and time of arrival of documents in our office.
Please put the documents in a sealed parcel/envelope. Never put any cash payment in a parcel/envelope. All payments for courier documents must be settled through bank deposit only.
Attach a copy of your deposit slip in the sealed parcel/envelope together with your documents.
Only those with the attached deposit slip and proof of payment will be processed.
Courier or delivery fee is charged to the applicant.
We can assure to provide professional service assistance when you apply for a visa but we cannot guarantee its approval. It will solely depend on the documents you will submit and consul's decision.
Our Documentation Officers will assist you by giving a complete list of requirements in applying for a visa on a specific country; submit the visa application to the Embassy or accredited office/s; update you through a text message once your application has been lodged; pick up the results in the embassy or accredited office/s.
As a general rule, when you travel, your passport must be at least 6 months valid beyond the intended stay. Therefore, your passport must be valid for more than 6 months upon visa application.
As a general rule, you can apply for a visa 3 months prior to departure date. In some embassies, you can apply 6 months prior to departure date. We recommend that you apply for a visa as early as possible within the allowed period by the embassy.
Yes, you need to provide your original passport for visa processing. However, there are some countries that do not require an original passport.
No appointment needed. You can go directly to our office to submit your visa application.
You may submit an explanation letter why you do not have an ITR.
The Embassies do not require or recommend purchasing air tickets before applying for a visa. Travelers should not make any final arrangements and payments unless they have a visa in hand. Committing funds for a trip does not in any way compel a consular officer to issue an applicant a visa if s/he is not qualified.
Most embassies allow re-application after 6 months. However, it is better to check with our Documentation Officer for each case because not all embassies have the same rules for re-application.
If you are the applicant or the person who submitted the documents in our office, you just need to bring a copy of the document checklist and your valid ID.
If another person will pick up your passport, please bring a copy of the document checklist, authorization letter with your signature, copy of your valid ID, and copy of the valid ID of your representative.
For applicants residing outside Metro Manila, another option is to send your passport through courier. The courier/delivery fee is charged to the applicant.
The visa holder should re-apply for a new visa.
No, the visa fees and processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the visa result.
No. If your visa is still valid, you can travel with your two passports as long as the visa is valid, not damaged and is the appropriate type of visa required for the principal purpose of travel. Both passports should be from the same country and type. Do not try to remove your visa from your old passport and stick it into your new valid passport , If you do that your visa will no longer be valid.
Only children above 12 years old are required to appear for the interview.
It is not possible to change the passport during a visa application processing.
You must use the passport you intend to travel with. When you fill in the application form, you must indicate your original nationality as well as your current nationality (i.e. that shown on your passport).
The validity of a visa cannot be extended regardless of its type. You will need to apply for a new visa.
No, personal appearance is not required when you submit documents to our office. However, for Korea visa applications, our Documentation Officer may sometimes require an appearance of the applicant, especially for a single traveler.

Original documents required and submitted to the embassy will not be returned.
We will file it immediately as soon as documents are complete. Our documentation representative will advise you upon submission regarding the target date to file your application.
Our documentation officer will give you a document checklist upon receipt of your documents then you will also get an official receipt upon receipt of your payment.
